This used to be a complete house kit. We now supply the part we do best — the windows, the doors, the flooring and the plan — and leave the structure to your builder. Why we changed.

The 0.94 figure is the laboratory result for the tested unit. Uw moves with the size and the frame-to-glass ratio of each opening, so a small window scores worse and a large one better. We quote the value for your actual sizes — we do not print one number and let you assume it applies everywhere.

The flooring
1,069 square feet of SPC rigid-core click flooring is in the kit price — enough for the whole plan, in one of the two colours we keep on the floor in Charlottetown.
SPC is the rigid construction: roughly 70 % limestone core, so it sits flat over a subfloor that is not perfectly level and takes radiant heat and damp rooms without complaint. It is what we stock, and for an Island build it is what we would put down ourselves.

Stick frame or OSBLOCK
The plan is drawn twice, and you choose which drawing set arrives with the kit. This changes nothing about the windows, the doors or the floor — the openings are identical either way. It changes what your framer builds around them.

Different sizes? That is normal here
Drutex builds to order in Bytów, Poland. Nothing comes off a shelf, so a window that is 47 inches wide costs what a 47-inch window costs — there is no penalty for leaving a standard list. If you are adapting the plan, or building to your own drawings entirely, send us the opening schedule and we will price it.
Finishes
Over thirty veneer and RAL finishes, and the inside face can differ from the outside — white indoors with anthracite outdoors is the common choice here, and it is the combination in the cutaway above. A colour change is a small surcharge; a size change takes the order out of this fixed price and into a quote.
Lead time
Six to eight weeks from order confirmation to delivery on the Island, ocean freight included. Flooring ships from stock in Charlottetown and can go earlier if you need it on site first.
Certification
All Drutex window lines are certified in the NFRC Certified Products Directory and we quote those values without reservation. The IGLO PVC lines were removed from the NRCan ENERGY STAR Canada list in August 2026; Drutex has confirmed that re-applications are filed. We are not making ENERGY STAR claims for these windows until they are listed again.
