Hybrid hot-water heaters: Heat-pump water heaters that pull energy from ambient or exhaust air. 3–4x more efficient than electric-resistance tanks.
ERV / HRV ventilation: Mandatory for tight builds. Recovers up to 92% of the heat in exhaust air before it leaves the building.
